Headaches
Headaches can range anywhere from irritating to debilitating. The two most common are musculoskeletal headaches and migraine headaches. Musculoskeletal headaches (or tension headaches) can sometimes trigger migraine headaches. We are experts in treating musculoskeletal headaches. It is not uncommon for someone to suffer for several years with frequent musculoskeletal headaches and resolve after several Physical Therapy treatments.
After a biomechanical exam (once other types of headaches are ruled out) you will begin treatment that will likely include:
-
Joint Mobilization
-
Soft Tissue mobilization
-
Stretching and postural strengthening exercises
-
Work station modifications
With appropriate treatment you will find improved neck range of motion, improve posture, great end of the day endurance and resolved recurrence of tension headaches. One of our goals will be to establish an exercise program that will allow you to remain pain free beyond the time you have completed you rehabilitation.
